# Approvals

> Qwox asks before anything important happens. You decide; it does only what you approve.

Adding and updating records happens right away: Qwox tells you what changed and keeps the previous version. Anything
bigger waits for your approval on a card.

## Deleting a record

Before deleting, Qwox shows **Delete this record?** with a preview of the record. Tap
**See the full record** to read all of it.

* **Confirm** deletes it.
* **Cancel** keeps it.

The card is valid for 24 hours. If the record changes after the card appears, it is not deleted.

## Updating many records at once

When one request would update 5 or more records, Qwox first lists them on a card:
**Update 6 records?**. Tap **Approve** to go ahead or
**Dismiss** to stop.

## Other cards

* Linking records: when you say two records belong together, Qwox suggests the link on a card.
* Profile notes: when Qwox notices something about you, it asks before adding it. See [Records](https://docs.qwox.ai/records.md#about-you).

Cards that are still waiting appear on **Today** and in the chat.

## What Qwox doesn't do

Qwox works only inside your records. It doesn't send messages or emails to anyone and doesn't create calendar events. If
you ask for a calendar entry, it saves the task as the record's next step with its date.
