# Offline

> What happens when you write without a connection.

## In the Android app

What you write is never lost:

* Each message waits on your phone with **09:30 · Will send when you're back online**.
* When the connection returns, or when you open the app again, messages are sent in order.
* Up to 20 messages can wait. When the queue is full, writing pauses until messages are sent.
* Tap **Edit message** to fix a waiting message before it goes.

Dates like "tomorrow at 3" are read from the moment you wrote them, not the moment they were sent.

## On the web

There is no queue on the web. A bar at the top tells you that you are offline, and what you wrote stays in the box until
the connection returns.

## Today while offline

**Today** shows the last version Qwox saw, and its buttons are paused until you are back online. Approval
cards in the chat are paused the same way.
