# Reminders

> Tell Qwox a task with a time, and it reminds you at that time.

When a task has a time, Qwox can remind you right then, not only on the morning list.

## Set a reminder

Just say it in the chat:

* "Call Ayşe today at 19:00."
* "Send the offer on Friday at 10."

Qwox saves the task as the record's next step with its time. If the time is vague, like "in the afternoon", Qwox asks for
the exact time. A task without a time appears on your morning list instead.

## How it arrives

At that time you get:

* a notification titled **Reminder**, showing the record's title and the step;
* a line in the chat with the same reminder.

> [!WARNING]
>
> A reminder notification shows the record's title and the step, so it can be visible on your lock screen.

No reminder is sent for a record that is done, deleted or snoozed on your morning list. A reminder doesn't change the
record.

## One next step per record

Each record has one next step. If you ask for a new reminder on a record that already has one, Qwox tells you the current
step and asks whether the new one should replace it or be added next to it as a note.

## Turn reminders on or off

Go to **Account** → **Preferences** → **Reminders**.
Reminders are on by default and are separate from the morning list.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Reminder notifications work in the Android app. On the web there are no notifications, so Qwox doesn't promise a timed
> reminder there; the task shows up on your morning list.
